3/2023 Log

David

March has been a busy and productive month for me. Despite the challenges and demands of work, I managed to make significant progress in my academic paper and complete it on time.

Work Summary

Endurance

As early as the beginning of March, I was thinking that I needed to update my avatar and banner. I started brainstorming what kind of render would fit the upcoming season, and finally decided on Jonesy doing yoga exercises.

During this period, I updated Jonesy’s skin shader to make him look more attractive, and at the same time, I tried to give him sweat mesh to simulate the way sweat drops slide off his feet and butt. Personally, I think it looks pretty good.

A little Easter egg, the song that Jonesy is listening to is the same as the one played at the beginning of this article, “Paris, Texas (feat. SYML)” by Lana Del Rey.

Flex

Translation: Sexy David! This is a preview render of the model I created while reworking David. He looks amazing and if you want to play with him, you can get his model through my Patreon.

For more model content, please refer the Docs.

I created two variants for this rendering, one of which was suggested by Patreon. In the creation of his body shape and textures, I referenced the original official model, and gave David’s feet more details and redness, which gives him a weathered look.

Many times, I create multiple lighting setups to make the rendering look better, so that the character stands out more and is more attractive:

Soothe

The banner features Jonesy while the avatar could only be Maverick at the time. This is a very simple scene where I intentionally imitated the photography style of figure photography and presented it in a 4:3 aspect ratio.

I’m currently obsessed with men’s clean and lively sweat, which is wonderful for me. Unfortunately, I need to spend a lot of time writing my thesis, otherwise I won’t be able to graduate.😳

April, 2023

I can quietly say here that the theme for April is “compulsion“.

Website update

The Docs have been updated with more social icon and optimized code for the commenting system’s frontend. We are planning to update some very useful third-party tutorials in the near future.
